Iwate "Sansa Odori"

Morioka sansa dance is a festival held from August 1 to 4 every year in Morioka City, Iwate Prefecture. In early August, one of the festivals held at the summer festival held in various parts of the Tohoku region [1], it was once held for three days but in recent years the number of participating organizations continues to increase and holding for four days .

In June 2007 it was registered as Guinness World Record as a festival of the number of Japanese drums in the world.

Each group consists of 3 parts: drum, whistle, and dance. Even if it is a part of a drum, as it dances on individuals and dances, the absolute number of drums inevitably increases in proportion to the number of participants in the parade, so the calling of "Japan's best drum parade" is also high. The number well exceeds 10,000 pieces, and as the number of participants increases year by year, the number of drums continues to increase. "Wheel dance" performed after the parade can participate individually as well.
