This page is a short reference on keeping an accurate peptide dosing log.

Reconstitution math is where most logging errors start. The dose you draw depends on three numbers: the amount of peptide in the vial, the volume of bacteriostatic water added, and the syringe units marked on the barrel. Change any one of them and every later entry shifts.

A worked example. A 5 mg vial reconstituted with 2 mL of bacteriostatic water gives 2.5 mg per mL. On a U-100 insulin syringe, 100 units equals 1 mL, so 1 unit equals 0.025 mg. A 0.25 mg dose is therefore 10 units.
